"The World", Elseid Hysaj: It could be the first and last chance

Monday has added red-black adrenaline to the blood of Albanian fans. The national team has begun preparations for the historic World Cup play-off challenge against Poland, while the players under the leadership of Sylvinho are thinking about schemes for the match on March 26 in Warsaw.

"It's true that I haven't had any playing time, but every time I come to the national team it's a different feeling. Like another job you're going to do. I've always given my maximum and if I have 60 minutes I'll do them well and then I'll leave. I'll leave the place to someone else. We're all available to give our maximum with the national team," said Elseid Hysaj, a national team player.

You've experienced two Europeans as a red and black team, now it's the opportunity to go to the World Cup. Does it feel like a special match and what does it mean to Hysaj for Albania to go to the World Cup?

"This is a dream I've had since I was little. Now, even more than when you do 2 European Championships, you miss another chapter of your life, the World Cup. What I miss is to achieve everything with the national team. Most of the players on the Rossoneri have an opportunity. It is not known what will happen in the other qualifiers. We have a single match that is very difficult. We have one door. If we don't get through that door, we will turn back, we will cry, we have nothing else to do," said Elseid Hysaj, a national team player.

For an Albanian national football player, it is very important, historic, to score in the European Championship, but would you trade that goal for another that sends us to the World Cup?

"I definitely believe it. I have won a European Championship with the national team and we miss the World Cup. Even though it is the most beautiful moment for me with the national team, I would change it if the World Cup comes," declared Qazim Laçi, a national team footballer.

If the Rossoneri manage to eliminate Poland on March 31, they will play the final World Cup play-off match against the winner of the Ukraine-Sweden pair. Only if the national team successfully overcomes these two matches will it participate in the biggest football event such as the World Cup for the first time in history.
