Russia's new generation of intercontinental ballistic missiles, the Sarmat, also known as the Satan II, is capable of carrying 10 or more nuclear warheads.

Russia will have the nuclear 'devil' ready for use. This was confirmed by President Vladimir Putin himself, before the young cadets of the military academy in Moscow, to whom he spoke about the importance of the nuclear triad: land, air and sea.

"In the near future, the first missile launchers of the Sarmat system will be put into service, equipped with a new and powerful missile. The air and naval systems of the strategic nuclear forces are being strengthened strictly in accordance with the plan," Putin said.

Russia's new generation of intercontinental ballistic missiles, the Sarmat, also known as the Satan II, is capable of carrying 10 or more nuclear warheads. The operational radius is 18 thousand kilometers. The missiles of the Sarmat system move at an extremely high speed and are reported to be capable of overcoming any defense system of Western countries, including those of NATO.

In his speech, Putin confirmed that strengthening the capabilities of the Russian military remains a priority. On the other hand, his Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, said that Russia's fate is being decided now.

"Once again, the collective West has launched a real war against Russia, sparing no effort to suppress our country. Endless sanctions are being imposed. Unrest and military conflicts are being fueled in neighboring countries. Great military assistance is being guaranteed to the Kiev regime," Shoigu said.

President Putin intervened by underlining that even with the large military aid, Ukraine is not able to advance in its counteroffensive. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has also spoken about the advances on the ground, confirming that the campaign to liberate the territory is continuing, but more slowly than expected.
