The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has reacted to the terrorist attack that happened this Wednesday near TUSAS, the Turkish Space Center, where 4 people were killed.

From Kazan, Russia, where the BRICS Summit is being held, Erdogan strongly condemned the attack, while saying that 4 people were martyred, while 14 were injured.

"We have 4 martyrs and 14 wounded. I condemn this terrible terrorist attack and wish God's mercy for our martyrs," he said.

The Minister of the Interior, Ali Yerlikaya, through a post on the social network X (formerly Twitter), confirmed the attack and announced 4 deaths.

Eyewitnesses told Reuters that workers inside the building were evacuated to shelters by authorities and no one was allowed to leave.

They also reported explosions at several exits as workers were leaving for home.

So far, it has been confirmed that two of the perpetrators of this attack have been neutralized, while the search for two others continues.

The factory produces aircraft, including combat vehicles, and employs about 1,500 people. It is considered an important site of the Turkish defense industry.
