During the last 24 hours, two operations coded "Process" and "Fury" were finalized in Mirdita and Lezhë to crack down on the criminal activity of cultivation and production of cannabis.

5 citizens are arrested.

Following successive operations within the national mega-operation "Clean Territory", based on the information received during the operation that in the village of Shtuf, Mirditë and in the village of Gjobardhaj, Lezhë, some people had adapted warehouses for drying and processing cannabis, Narcotics Investigation Specialists, in cooperation with the Mirdita and Lezhë Police Station, organized and finalized two police operations.

1- As part of the "Process" operation in the village of Shtuf, the administrative unit of Kačinare, Mirdita, after the inspection of an uninhabited apartment, hundreds of plants were found in the process of drying with a total weight of 108 kilograms of cannabis.

Following the operation, the following citizens were arrested in the act:

P.Ç. 27 years old, AM, 39 years old, PM, 71 years old, and MM, 67 years old, residents of Balldre, Lezhë, Kačinar, Mirditë, suspected as perpetrators of the cultivation and production of cannabis that was found in the drying process.

2-While in the framework of the operation "Fury" in the village of Gjonbardhaj, Kashnjet, during the control exercised in a cattle stable, about 92 kilograms of suspected narcotic cannabis sativa were found and seized.

Following the actions, the citizen Gj was arrested in flagrante delicto. M. 46 years old, resident of Shkodër.

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, the work continues for the identification and capture of other persons involved in these two cases of the criminal activity of cultivation and production of cannabis.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
