Dehari postpones Kosovo Assembly session to September 9, gives Vetëvendosje

The chairman of the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly, Avni Dehari, has called for the continuation of the session on September 9, in an attempt to give time to reach a political agreement that would secure the necessary votes.

Dehari announced that, since the agreement between the Vetëvendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo does not currently provide the necessary numbers, he has decided to give the parties more time to find a solution.

"Until then, I expect this agreement to be accompanied by concrete responsibilities and the willingness of the deputies to fulfill their constitutional obligations. Kosovo does not need another delay, nor another crisis, and even less a new electoral process," Dehari wrote.
