The TV studio turns into a boxing ring on a TV in Turkey.

The incident happened last Saturday when the show was discussing the issue of judicial independence in Turkey and the political future of imprisoned Kurdish leader Selahettin Demirtas, as well as Osman Kavala, who is also being held in prison without a specific charge.

"The police and the state belong to us," said deputy and vice president of the Democratic Party Kemal Enginhurt.

Journalist Latif Simsek told him to stop, at which point the nationalist MP moved towards him in a threatening tone.

After the two collided, the MP's bodyguard appeared and together they started beating the journalist mercilessly.

Such was the intensity of the blows that the journalist fainted, while the show was interrupted and restarted after 20 minutes, with the presenter and station managers disapproving of what happened and apologizing.

During the break, as the videos show, the journalist was beaten by the deputy and his bodyguard. Latif Simsek sued MP Kemal Enginhurt, who was a former executive of "Grey Wolves".

Meanwhile, the prosecutor has ordered the detention measure for the bodyguard, but not for the deputy who is covered by immunity.
