The plane carrying US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing on Wednesday evening due to a crack in the cabin window.
The plane landed safely in the United Kingdom, according to Reuters.
"The plane landed according to standard procedures and all passengers, including Secretary Hegseth, are safe," Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said in a post on X.
"While en route back to the United States from a meeting of NATO Defense Ministers, Secretary of War Hegseth's plane made an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom due to a crack in the aircraft's windshield. The plane landed based on standard procedures and everyone on board, including Secretary Hegseth, is safe," Parnell wrote on the social network "X".
