An unknown number of people have lost their lives after a shooting attack at a private clinic in Rotterdam.

The event is reported to have happened at the "Erasmus" Medical Center in Rotterdam, where a person started to open fire inside a classroom with sick children.

From the images on social networks, many citizens can be seen fleeing in panic, while special forces can be seen at the scene, having arrested a person. It is not clear whether the detained person is the perpetrator.

Local media reports that the perpetrator opened fire in an apartment, injuring two people, then set fire to the building. He then went to the medical clinic, opening fire again. Authorities report several dead and injured.
