Four NATO warships, two German, one Italian and one Spanish, have arrived since November 2 at the port of Vlora, as part of a joint military activity with the Albanian Naval Force.
The ships will remain in the Bay of Vlora until November 6, while port activities and joint exercises are planned during this period.
On November 3 and 4, ship crews will conduct port visits, while on November 5 and 6, joint naval and air maneuvers will take place, where NATO warships will be engaged together with the vessels of the Albanian Naval Force.
The exercise aims to strengthen cooperation and increase interoperability between the naval forces of allied countries, through the coordination of sea and air operations, communication between crews, and the development of joint operational scenarios.
These activities also serve to increase the readiness and preparation of military personnel for coordinated engagements within the framework of Alliance missions.
This is the second time within a month that Alliance warships have arrived in the Gulf of Vlora to conduct joint exercises with the Albanian fleet, turning this maritime area into an important space for cooperation and interaction activities between allied forces.
