Nearly 20 billion lek or 220 million euros will be distributed to pensioners in the form of a monthly bonus, starting in January 2027. The amount of money that citizens who enjoy a pension will receive in the form of a bonus will be doubled compared to what they benefit from during 2026.

But how much will each category benefit? Specifically, the monthly bonus will be 3,600 lek per month for pensioners who currently enjoy a full urban pension and whose pension is up to 40,000 lek per month.

Those who enjoy village pensions and do not exceed the level of 18 thousand lek per month will receive 2,000 lek per month. 

1,600 lek per month will be given to pensioners with partial urban pension, for all those who do not exceed the threshold of 22 thousand lek per month. 

1,400 lek per month for citizens who benefit from family pensions with a threshold of 18 thousand lek per month and 1,200 lek per month for disability pensioners who do not receive more than 30 thousand lek per month. 

Categories that exceed these ceilings are excluded from the right to benefit from this bonus. 

Meanwhile, in addition to the monthly bonus, the government also foresees a fund of 4 billion lek for pension indexation, which will begin to be implemented in April, or three months earlier than expected.
