Kristian Shkreli, the current mayor of the Municipality of Vau i Dejës, has been indicted by the Special Prosecution Office on charges of active corruption in the May 11 elections. The prosecution's file comes some time after Prime Minister Edi Rama told Shkreli in a meeting to "not play with two goals." Despite Shkreli being a representative of the Socialist Party, he is known in the area as one of the supporters of Tom Doshi's Social Democratic Party.

This was the first file in SPAK. Another file may be opened in the future, as it concerns a clear conflict of interest. Kristian Shkreli, before taking the position of mayor, was its deputy mayor for many years. He was a subordinate of Mark Baban, who led the municipality of Vau i Dejës for several years.

of areas of 0.049 ha and 0.0735 ha, part of property no. 546/4, Land Registry no. 3506, with a term of 10 years, fruitless type, located in the village of Stajkë, Bushat Administrative Unit”.

According to the documents, the subject “Babani. MG”, with NIPT number L26331005A, participated in this procedure. According to them, the offer submitted by this subject for the area of ??0.049 ha is 2,450 lek per year. Consequently, the company in question has also been declared the winner.
