On Sunday afternoon, several media outlets published an article aimed at explaining the “lack of documentation” linking Constitutional Court candidate Asim Vokshi to the secret services. The article was written by a lawyer and is likely a hidden reaction of the President of the Supreme Court, Sokol Sadushi himself.
According to this masked reaction, which bears no official signature or public statement, Sadushi attempts to relativize the denunciation made by Top Channel, which broadcast the news that the Judicial Appointments Council (KED) was informed of Vokshi's possible involvement as an informant or agent of the secret services, but this information was not conveyed to the Supreme Court body during the selection process.
In the article distributed by media outlets close to him, Sadushi suggests that even if such a document exists, it should be considered invalid, as "the legal deadlines have passed" for including it in the competition process for the Constitutional Court.
This defensive language, articulated through informal channels, confirms the attempt to close the scandal without institutional accountability, instead of the issue being clarified with official transparency by the KED or the Supreme Court.
Sadushi's hidden reaction comes just a few hours after the publication of the Top Channel news, which shed light on the way in which sensitive information about candidate Asim Vokshi was selectively handled, questioning the integrity of the selection process for one of the highest justice institutions in the country, that of the Constitutional Court.
As if the ping-pong and the legal violation that Sadushi committed for the appointment of Asim Vokshi weren't enough, now another compromising fact is being secretly brought to his defense, that of hiding the KED document.
This episode once again raises doubts about the politicization of justice, its capture and flagrant abuse, which leads to a deepening crisis of public trust in the institutions that should guarantee justice and transparency.
