The Book Fair had the honor this Thursday to be visited by the author of the 'mission left half'.
Lulzim Basha was photographed at the stands of publishing houses with a large bag with the inscription 'Albanian World'.
Since the bag was not transparent, it is unclear whether inside it there were books, which the former head of the DP bought at this fair, or if it was filled with promises he did not keep.
One of the promises was 'My Mission', the book that Lulzim Basha said he wrote and published before last year's parliamentary elections. That's what he said, but since Ilir Metaj, his former ally, has accused him of lying about the watch, this claim about the authorship of the book should be taken with reservations.
'My mission', or rather Basha's mission, arrived before the April 25 elections, filling the media headlines with the word 'surprisingly, Basha comes with a book'. The book was published by several publishing houses, and even some portals estimated that the fact that it was part of Amazon was news, as if Amazon has quality criteria and keeps promises to introduce something for sale on the platform.
But let's return to the visit of the former head of the DP to the Book Fair. Basha's stop at the biggest annual reading event comes at a time of infighting within the party he once led, which he now claims is led by his man, Enkelejd Alibeaj, but which is actually led by Sali Berisha.
The situation is so murky that the two parties within the DP accused each other in Thursday's plenary session of bargaining with Edi Rama. Both seem to have lost their mission, that of oppositionism. Maybe Basha is thinking of a comeback...with a new book.
