A serious incident was recorded on Sunday morning in the village of Demiraj, Gjilan, where a 27-year-old man and a baby were found dead inside a house.

In connection with the case, the Police have arrested a 65-year-old man, who is suspected of killing his 27-year-old son and his infant grandson. According to information, the bodies were discovered at around 08:47.

Police services, the State Prosecutor, and the Emergency team immediately went to the scene, where they determined the death of two people.

The 65-year-old was escorted by police authorities, while the bodies of the victims were sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine.

On 01.11.2026 at around 08:47, Kosovo Police received information in a house in the village of Demiraj, Gjilan municipality, about two suspected dead bodies, a male person born in 1999 and an infant.

Emergency units affiliated with the police and the State Prosecutor's team arrived at the scene, where the attending physician determined that both people were without signs of life.

From the first investigations at the scene, it is suspected that the incident occurred within the family, where in relation to the person who was arrested, he was arrested for the victims, who was detained for 48 hours by decision of the prosecutor.

Their officials are cooperating, taking all necessary and investigative actions to fully illuminate and clarify this case, which is considered a "serious murder."

By decision of the State Prosecutor, the bodies are sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pristina for autopsy.

The Kosovo Police, in cooperation and coordination for its work, relies on the investigation and professional work of the case.
