Salaries increase in the administration, the state spends 1.2 billion dollars

In the general expenses of the state budget planned for 2024, the salaries of the administration occupy a significant part. Referring to the draft budget, which up to this stage has been approved in principle in the parliamentary session and will begin to be discussed article by article, the personnel expenses for the year 2024 reflect the current cost of the Public Administration, as well as the new policy of salary increase launched on April 1, 2023.

The fund for the continuation of salary increases starting from July 1, 2024 is planned in the amount of 11 billion ALL and includes salary increases for employees of the health system, education, employees with ranks and public administration employees.

Referring to the mid-term budget project 2024-2026, for the year 2023-2024, it is expected to benefit from the revision of the salary increase policy about 36,000 educational employees of the Pre-University Educational System, where for 2024 a salary increase of 23-36% of the gross salary is expected ; About 18,858 employees of the Health System, where over two years the average increase for doctors and nurses will be realized, ranging from 26-34% of the gross salary; About 22,500 Grada system employees are projected to benefit from an average 30% pay increase per rank for 2024.

Thus, the total expenses for salaries in the Public Administration are planned in the amount of 119.7 billion ALL for the next year, or 1.2 billion dollars, or in other words 4.9% of the GDP.
