The government has revised the state budget for the 4th time, deciding to provide year-end bonuses to people with disabilities in the amount of 15,000 lek, a category that was not included in the October act that provided bonuses to pensioners.
Minister of Finance Petrit Malaj announces that 148 thousand people benefit from this normative act.
"Financial support for families with economic assistance of 15 thousand lek, there are 148 thousand beneficiaries with a fund of 2.2 billion lek both for rewarding families in need and for people with disabilities," said Malaj.
Malaj announced that funds unspent by institutions this year will be transferred to the pension account at the Bank of Albania.
"There are 150 million euros that will be transferred to the account we have at the Bank of Albania for the pension scheme to support the new reform," said Malaj.
With the new budget revision, an additional 2 billion lek will go to farmers through support schemes. An additional 1.2 billion lek has also been earmarked for local governments to repay debts.
"Farmers will benefit from an additional 2 billion lek through support schemes. An additional 1.2 billion lek for local governments to repay local government debts. This amount is equal to 40% of local government liabilities," Malaj said, among other things.
