The Ministry of Agriculture foresees that, in addition to the current projects in the function of flood prevention in the country, during the year 2024, several other interventions will be launched. Almost every year in the autumn-winter season, our country experiences numerous floods in different areas, which have consequences in the destruction of agricultural crops, lands, livestock, businesses, etc.

For this reason, new funds have been provided for this purpose in the next year's draft budget.

One of the projects is the protection from the erosion of the Erzen River in the village of Pinet, which is expected to be closed within 2024 and captures a total value of 22.5 million ALL. last year, 300 hectares of land were flooded from the exit of this river. The other intervention provides for the protection of the Kir River, the Bardhaje bridge at a cost of 12 million ALL.

The rehabilitation of the embankment of the Buna River, Darrgjat Shkodër, is also planned, an intervention that will cost 48.5 million ALL. There will also be intervention for the rehabilitation of the Borshi River, with a value of 200 million ALL, a project which will extend into 2025.

While for flood protection facilities during the year 2024, an investment of 238 million ALL is foreseen. Currently, there are 16 other ongoing projects, which require funding even through 2024.
