For the umpteenth time, the Albanian Electricity Corporation has sold energy cheaper than the prices on the Hungarian Stock Exchange.
In the last few days, 2 sales procedures were carried out, where KESH collected about 3.4 million euros, but the price per mWh is significantly lower than the Hungarian stock exchange, which serves as a reference for transactions in our country.
In one of the sales procedures, the average price reaches 254 euros/mWh, while in the stock market the price was 384 euros/mWh, while at the peak it was 458 euros/mWh. Meanwhile, in the next sale, the price of energy on the Hungarian stock exchange was 406 euros/mWh, but KESH sold it at 254 euros/mWh.
The free sale of energy is followed by less income for the Albanian Elekroenergjetike Corporation, which, together with the latest procedures, has so far collected 9.4 million euros. The opposite happens in the purchase procedures, where according to the data that KESH itself publishes, energy costs much more than in the Hungarian Stock Exchange.
Meanwhile, in parallel with the sale, a procedure for depositing 36,000 mWh of energy was carried out, but it was not successful, since no operator participated in the competition.
However, the improvement of the water situation was followed by a decision of the Assembly of the Albanian Electricity Corporation, which suspended the increase in the sale price of energy for OSHEE, a decision which leads to the non-application of the 800 kWh band, which would lead to higher prices for household consumers .
