Have you sold a vehicle and it continues to be in your name? Here's how you

DPSHTRR has published a special guide that explains what documents you should have with you in case you, instead of the buyer, will be forced to change ownership.

"Have you sold a vehicle and it continues to be in your name?
If the vehicle continues to be in your name, even after you have sold it, it means that the buyer has not appeared at the DRSHTRR counters to update the data.
This means that all the obligations of the vehicle continue to be in your name and the change of ownership must be done as soon as possible!

The obligation for the change of ownership belongs to the buyer, but in cases where contacts with the buyer have been lost, for various reasons, the seller can do the change of ownership himself.

The change of data ownership can be done by any of them, without the presence of the other party.

The seller can appear at the counter with one of the following documents:
o Sale/donation contract/auction sale/evidence of inheritance;
o Decision by the Court or other body charged by law;
o Sales tax invoice;
o Any other way provided by law.

All these documents must be originals or notarized copies which are submitted to the counter and followed by updating the data.

The fee for this service is 1,200 Lek", writes DPSHTRR.
