The Faculty of Foreign Languages concluded this season with the ISEBUSS 4 International Congress with broad participation from the United Kingdom, Azerbaijan, Turkey, India, Syria, Jordan, Latvia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria and Germany.
The Symposium Chair, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Paksoy, after thanking the Faculty of Foreign Languages for its hospitality, introduced the guests of honor from Britain and Germany, broadly explained the symposium sessions, and emphasized the values of exchanging experiences among researchers.
In his welcoming speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adriatik Derjaj, Head of the Department of Slavic and Balkan Languages, emphasized that:
"This scientific and cultural event is not only a pedagogical continuation of our daily task, but is the fruit of several years of effort by the staff of the FGJH who have given the didactics of Eastern and Asian foreign languages, their civilization and promotion, very valuable activities."
The valuable presentations of Albanian and foreign speakers will expand the scientific chain that connects the Balkan and Mediterranean nations from the early Middle Ages to the present day.
Professor Derjaj thanked colleagues from the University of Vlora and Durrës for their participation.
The session closed with the welcoming speech of the Vice Dean, Dr. Kristina Sheperi, who emphasized that:
"As a multidisciplinary congress, this event, in addition to scientific contributions in the field of didactics and education, also constitutes an important space for reflection on the role of language in the interconnection of cultural and scientific processes. The Faculty of Foreign Languages is always committed to promoting scientific collaborations and sustainable exchanges of academic experience."
