The new Thumane - Kashar road is (or should have been) a release for traffic on the Tirana-Lezhë axis. Those who have used this road even once in the summer season know what it means.
But the opening of the new toll road has been accompanied by an absurd action, the closure of the old road. To enter Tirana, when coming from the North, there is no way to avoid the new toll road. You should definitely go there. But, even in the direction of Fushë Krujë - Lezhë, you still cannot enter the highway, you will have to wander through the alfalfa fields of Thumana (since only tractors can pass on what is called a village road).
Engineering impossibility or obligation for everyone, regardless of where they are going and where they come from, to cross the road where they have to pay approximately 3000 old lek for each crossing?
How can a private company have access to decide to take secondary roads out of use, for its own interests?
Taking the existing road out of use has caused the new road to collapse. Kilometer queues are marked on the weekend, and even today, Monday, due to the payment process. If it were the alternative of the old road, the traffic could be separated and people will not be forced to stand for hours in the sun, baking on the asphalt.
