People who follow their emotions mostly are not good vigilantes.
Heart or mind? Which is better to listen to? Depending on what we choose, we still suffer in life. A little or a lot. But the truth is that each of us has our own suffering.
The first signs that any of us are following our minds are when we begin to lie to those around us, even when we believe our own lies.
In life, it takes a few injuries to break a heart. It takes a lot of these to stop feeling heartbroken. Because when it breaks, you can't trust anymore. So here man used his mind. In its four Cyprus, from the early ages in the struggle for survival, he developed it very well. Among other things, he taught that the mind/reason awakened suspicion, after which comes hatred, contempt or anger.
But it can happen that suddenly, when we think that we have everything under control, life is guided by reason, someone always comes there, to wake up the "buried" heart.
The choice can also be made here.
Because you could run away, if you were guided by reason,... but in life there are some events that you cannot run away from forever. Because the living needs everything.
Even for the heart if it follows its path.
Even though we know that path ends up hurting us. So did Friedrich, the top Nazi officer in history saving a beautiful Jewish baby named Haja from the death camps at Auschwitz.
….
After World War I, Germany was mired in poverty and high unemployment. From here Hitler had no difficulty in strengthening himself. He convinced the Germans that the Jews were to blame for their economic failures, believing that even the loans or debts owed to the Jews should not be repaid. For them this was an injustice.
The war started. The second one is already of global proportions.
The Hebrews called it Sho·ah; the mass extermination of European Jews by the Nazis during L.II.B. But it was not only against them. A large number of black, gay and other groups were killed by the Nazis, but it was the Jewish people who were targeted most intensely and deliberately.
The Jewish population of Europe in the 1930s numbered 9 million. Poland was at that time the country of the largest Jewish community in the world. It was like that for centuries. By the time L.II.B. ended, in 1945, 6 million European Jews had been killed. Many of them were reduced to ashes in the death camps built by Hitler's regime. The Nazis believed in the physical annihilation of the Jews which relied on the Final Solution doctrine to solve the Jewish problem once and for all. Hitler had taken on this project like a madman, which he was more than happy to see through to the end.
The reasons are different. But never well pronounced. Which always makes me skeptical about what is happening in the world today.
The labor camps that were built were simply a euphemism for extermination camps. The transport sector to the East referred to death trains. How much I had seen and read!
But my mind and heart always mixed together to dwell on this story.
Aushvic.
His name is enough. I had read an expression somewhere. Unforgettable; The existence of Auschwitz proves that God does not exist. There are only two ways you could have been in Auschwitz, either as a prisoner or as an executioner.
And although these two groups were there to annihilate each other, between the end of life and the beginning of death, even in that dark abyss, life had found a place to bubble.
A baby is born in the barracks of the infamous camp in October 1944. It's Haya I wrote about above. A sonata dedicated to her is composed by an officer, and the rescue from the Auschwitz barracks that comes from him is only a story within the doctrine of the great evil. There are dozens of such in these camps. People who then disappeared with their memories and stories that go back nearly half a century. They are not finished yet.
But how do we explain to young people today that in times of danger, love comes together with survival? That friends and brothers turn into enemies when there is no room for everyone? That women spy on men and vice versa? That parents betray children?
How is it that even though the bombings often affect the civilian population...loyalty to the motherland comes first? Beyond that, how is good and bad divided here? How can they stay together? What sense was it that put the good Germans under the feet of a madman?
The Second World War was a shameful chapter not only for Germany but for all of Europe that remained silent and remembered to act when it was too late. And even today, European politicians have learned nothing from the continent's previous devastation. The fall of communism ignited new conflicts in the countries of the East, affecting especially the Balkans. Africa, Asia and the Middle East have experienced these last 80 years with dozens of civil wars. Many countries are still at war. Ukraine, for example, which is even closer to us.
Civilians continue to be bombed. Elderly, women and men, children and students. Exact figures of the killed are deliberately hidden as then while the missing in the lists are added daily.
Today, in most cases in the family, the past is not talked about, Germany is not talked about, and even less about the Holocaust. Less perhaps, what role did Albania and the Albanians have with their determined attitude to hide the Jews endangered by the great extermination.
Perhaps not at all for communism.
Each hides a secret of its own within the story. A secret they would like us to keep for life.
There are moments when reality seems to exist in a parallel dimension. We look at everything from the outside as it exists there alongside us but without being able to touch it. We cannot touch it, or play with it.
We just say life must go on.
But to continue who should we follow the heart or the mind, next?
