In the area of ​​Dropulli in Gjirokastër, the fire which started yesterday in the village of Goranxi, has not yet been extinguished.

The fire has been brought under control in the part of Gjirokastra, but it is advancing towards the west in the direction of Finiq as well as towards the Syr i Kaltër park. The helicopter of the Armed Forces, which is supplying water to Peshkopi lake, has made at least 12 flights this morning and is working to extinguish the flames.

The day before, 2 Greek planes intervened to put out the flames in the Dropulli area, since the intervention from the ground with firefighting equipment was impossible due to the mountainous area, while the firefighters have been constantly trying to put out the flames with primitive tools.
