Fires engulf the mountains of Dibra, flames are out of control in Sllatina,

The fire situation in Dibër remains problematic, mainly in the mountains of the village of Sllatinë. The flames have engulfed an area dense with pine and juniper trees, becoming unbearable.

Aided by strong winds and high temperatures, the operation to bring the flames under control is very difficult, although dozens of forces are on the ground operating by land.

Firefighters from the Municipality of Dibër and many residents are working on the ground on a voluntary basis.

The situation remains the same in Qafë Helmes near Selishta and in Vajkal in Bulqiza.

A helicopter has been deployed for two days to prevent the fire from expanding in Vajkal, avoiding the risk to homes.
