A dispute over the salary of an 18-year-old, Genti Nela, who worked as a waiter in a hotel bar in the Mali i Robi area, in Golem, risked ending in a serious criminal incident. The young man was raped after demanding his salary from the two sons and son-in-law of the hotel owner, as well as a 20-year-old friend of his. His uncle, after learning what had happened, went armed to the hotel to take revenge and kill the perpetrators of the violence.

Police intervened before the 47-year-old arrived at the hotel and stopped his car near the area. Inside a backpack, a Kalashnikov, three magazines and 84 cartridges were found. Melison Nela, the 18-year-old's uncle, was arrested.

Florian Habilaj, 28, the son of the hotel owner, and Enold Dragoti, 20, were arrested for raping the waiter, while the owner's other son, A. Habilaj, 36, was declared wanted. The owner's 36-year-old son-in-law is being investigated at large.

Police also found that the scene of the conflict had been cleaned up, while the device storing the security camera footage had been removed and the cables had been cut.

Police report

With a firearm in his vehicle, he was on his way to kill the people who had raped his nephew. Thanks to information received in an operational manner and timely intervention by the Police services, a serious criminal incident was prevented.

The 47-year-old man, who was caught with an automatic firearm, 3 magazines and 84 live ammunition, is being arrested.

The hotel owner's son and a friend are arrested, the owner's other son is wanted, while the owner's son-in-law is being processed at large, who had raped the 18-year-old (a waiter at the hotel bar and the nephew of the 47-year-old)

The services of the Kavaja Police Commissariat and the Golem Police Station, after receiving a report of a conflict at a hotel in the Mali i Robi area, Golem, immediately went to the scene, preventing further escalation of the conflict.

The initial investigation revealed that citizen FH, together with citizens AF, ED and MM, raped citizen GN, 18 years old, a waiter at the hotel bar, due to non-payment for the work performed. The 18-year-old is in Kavaja Hospital, under the care of doctors.

During the course of the operations, the Police services received operational information that the 18-year-old's uncle, citizen MN, 47 years old, resident of Kavaja, armed with a firearm, had headed towards the hotel, with the intention of killing the people who had raped his nephew.

The Police Services intervened immediately, stopping the vehicle driven by this citizen near the hotel. During the search of the vehicle, in a backpack, the Police Services found an automatic firearm, a Kalashnikov, 3 magazines and 84 live ammunition.

However, the investigative actions revealed that the scene had been cleaned, the security camera DVR had been removed, and the cables had been cut.

At the end of the first investigative actions, citizens FH, 28 years old, and ED, 20 years old, residents of Kavaja, were arrested in flagrante delicto; citizen AF, 36 years old, was declared wanted; citizen MM, 36 years old, resident of Kavaja, was released on bail.

Citizen MN, 47 years old, resident of Kavaja, was also arrested in flagrante delicto.

In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, work continues on the complete legal documentation of this event.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
