Italian police are continuing investigations into the two deaths, that of transgender Camilla and Albanian Nevila Pjetri, whose dead bodies were found within 24 hours not far from each other.
Daniele Bedini has been arrested as the suspected perpetrator of both events and police are investigating on two tracks, a serial killer in the world of prostitution or a murder to silence the witness.
It is suspected that the transgender Camilla saw the perpetrator when she dragged Nevila's lifeless body and threw it into the stream.
The 32-year-old artisan continues to deny involvement in both killings.
"On the night of the two murders, I was in a bar with friends."
This is his alibi.
Nevila was found dead in the bed of the Parmignola creek, in Marinella, near Sarzana, killed by two gunshots to the head.
Not far away, Camilla was found the same day.
Investigations are ongoing by the Carabinieri of Ris di Parma and the Scientific Police to ascertain if there is a connection between the two deaths.
The Albanian girl was killed with two shots with a 22 caliber pistol to the head. Forensic doctor Susanna Gamba ascertained the autopsy result. The first shot was fired in the forehead, the other behind the left ear. It remains to be seen whether the killing took place at the place where the body was found or elsewhere.
