Within a short time, two tragic events were recorded in our country, where the victims were the children of Albanian immigrants who had returned to their homeland for vacation.
At noon on August 2, the speedboat driven by Commissioner Arjan Tase collided with the death of 7-year-old Jonada Avdia, who was killed by the propellers of the speedboat. She was on the seashore with her father on the beach of Potami in Himara.
The Avdia family, originally from Tropoja, lived and worked for years in Britain, as they had come for holidays in Albania. The little girl is being laid to rest in the Sharra cemetery in the capital.
Meanwhile, another tragic event was recorded a few days ago in Shkodër, where 68-year-old Vlash Jakaj killed his 10-year-old grandson while cleaning the couple. The minor was on holiday with his family in his hometown, with his parents and older brother, as they had been living and working for years in the town of Serravalle Pistoiese in Pistoia.
The child's body was returned to Casalguidi yesterday, while his burial will take place in Pistoia on Monday.
The summer holidays for the Avdia and Jakak families ended in tragedy, after they lost their children.
