For almost more than three years behind bars, the young man Redion Hysa, accused of murdering former police officer Xuliano Prela, has been released.

Redion Hysa was arrested in 2020 together with his cousin Sokol Hysa, as they were the main suspects of having opened fire on the car where Prela was, leaving him dead.

In connection with this event, Nikoll Sherniku, a well-known name in the world of crime, described as the "soldier" of Ervis Martinaj, was also arrested. Shernik, however, was not accused as a perpetrator, but he was accused of "failing to report the crime".

It was the journalist Klodiana Lala, who brought this event to the attention of the public several times, insisting on the innocence of Redion Hysa. In her last show, some new facts were revealed that exonerate Hysa.

Earlier, the prosecution had requested 20 years in prison for Hysa, although the latter had repeatedly denied the charges.

The murder happened in December 2020 on the Lezhë-Milot highway, and at that time it was said that the reason for the crime was a fight over the high lights of the police car returning from Shkodra.
