The cousin of the two victims, Gjokë and Eduard Gurra, was interrogated by the police of Shkodra, where throughout the night of yesterday, he told the police investigators what had happened from noon on July 29 until the following when he heard gun shooting.
According to the testimony of the victims' cousin, Gjokë Gurra's apartment was not burned the day before. Flames and smoke were seen by him on the roof of the house at around 12:00 noon on July 29.
As soon as he discovered the fire, he called his friend, Gjokë Gurra, who was in Shkodër, telling the latter that his house was on fire.
After this announcement, Gurra asked his cousin to try to put out the fire, and that he suspected that the two solar panels that he had placed on the roof of the house may have caused the flames to fall in his apartment.
Based on this situation, Gjokë, together with his son Eduard Gurra, traveled to the village of origin with a forest road vehicle, with the hope of extinguishing the fire.
But in the testimony of their cousin, he claimed that while he was trying to put out the fire, he heard several gunshots, which came from the entrance of Sumë village.
He abandoned his work in the burning house and headed towards the area where the gunshots came from. As A.Gurra says, he did such an act after he became curious about what could have happened and who had fired several times with a gun.
During the 15-minute journey, he showed that he had a premonition of something bad. And when he passed the bend, he noticed that his cousins' car was parked in the middle of the road and inside it, Gjokë and Eduard Gurra were bleeding.
The victim's cousin immediately called the police, informing them of the serious incident. When asked who had committed the murder, Gurra confessed that he did not see any armed or unarmed person around the crime area.
He had occupied several forest areas to cut and brought the timber down to Shkodër where he sold it. Due to this activity, Gurra had a conflict with one of his fellow villagers a year ago, with whom they got into a fist fight.
The conflict has been closed more quietly, but this fight may have served as an indication for the hit of father and son with 8 Kalashnikov bullets. Some time ago, Gjokë Gurra also served as the village headman./hour
