Kristjan Cenaj, the person who executed his friend Mariglen Gjonaj in May 2015 for a "Rolex" watch, was arrested just a few minutes after finishing the wedding of his brother, K. Cenaj.

The suspected author had arrived on Friday from Italy to Albania, specifically to attend his brother's wedding in Kurbin.

From the conducted investigations, it has emerged that Cenaj has been identified as the suspected author of Mariglen Gjonaj's murder through his cell phone and his Facebook profile.

On the day of the crime on May 18, 2015, Cenaj appears to have given contradictory statements. He admitted that he was in the company of 16-year-old Mariglen Gjonaj, whom he had left alone on the Fushë-Kuqe road, after his personal car had broken down.

According to Cenaj, Gjonaj continued the journey on foot to leave the apartment. While Kristjan Cenaj was left in the middle of the road with his broken down car. But following his testimony, Cenaj has shown that he tried again to start the car and the vehicle was on, leading to his departure to Mamurras.

"...on the way I did not see Marigle Gjinaj...", Cenaj said, adding that that day he went to his house and worked collecting grass.

But from the review of the "Facebook" profile, it turned out that Kristjan Cenaj, on May 18, 2015, posted photos in other places, far away from the scene of the Fushë-Kuqes crime and the area where he has his house in Mamurras.

His contradictions in the dishonest story of this event led the investigation team to come to the conclusion that Kristjan Cenaj is the suspected author of the murder of his friend Mariglen Gjonaj. The remains of the latter were accidentally discovered on April 3, 2022, when a villager from the Fushë-Kuqe area set fire to a barn near his property.
