Yesterday, the Greek authorities arrested five people who are suspected of executing two Greek mobsters, Janis Skafturos and Vasilis Rubetis.
Two of the suspects who were arrested are Georgians and three others are in the Attica police department and are being interrogated.
According to sources for Top Channel, one of the suspects for the execution of two mobsters is an Albanian who was arrested in Mali e ZI, under the charge of firearms trafficking. Meanwhile, the Greek police raided his apartment in Athens, where they found evidence implicating him.
It is learned that apart from the five arrested, several other people who have fled the country have also been put under international arrest warrant.
Police sources said that yesterday's arrests are not related to the execution a few days ago of another exponent of the Greek mafia, Vangjelis Zabunis, who was executed with 97 bullets at a gas station owned by him.
