Other shocking details emerge after the completion of the forensic examination carried out on the body of the 51-year-old Albanian, who was found dead in the Kerdylia mountains in Thessaloniki.
Protothema writes that Ylli Mera's body was found in the inaccessible forest in an advanced state of decay and mutilated by wild animals that had devoured a large part of his body during the six or so days he had been dead.
What did the forensic report show?
From the findings of the autopsy performed at the Forensic Medical Service of Thessaloniki, by the experienced doctor Eleni Zagelidou, it is clear that the unfortunate man had many injuries after death and many parts of his body were missing.
What emerged from the few points that were appreciable, is that the 51-year-old had a tear in his pants that looked like a tear that might have been made by a power tool, a chainsaw, and caused him to bleed profusely.
As for the time of death, it matches the date of his disappearance on November 1, when the man had gone out into the mountains with the 59-year-old to cut trees. What is expected now are the results of toxicological and histological analyses.
It is reported that the 59-year-old man who was with him on the mountain and is accused of his fatal injury, was also examined by the medical doctor and had a wound on his left knee, which is consistent with the fact that it came from an electric chain saw .
How did the event happen?
It is recalled that the body of the 51-year-old man was found on Sunday afternoon, in a particularly difficult area of the mountain massif, by the police officers who were looking for him, after the activation of the missing alarm service from the "Smile of the Child".
As it became known, the man had gone to this area with a 59-year-old who lived in the same village, to continue with the illegal cutting of forests. The 51-year-old cutter allegedly worked for the defendant and had visited the designated location several times together for the same reason.
The two men went together to the difficult area, but the 59-year-old left alone and a few days later the victim was found injured and unconscious in the dense forest.
In the investigations carried out by the police in the house of the 59-year-old man and in the vehicle of his 28-year-old son, a total of five hunting knives were found, so both people were arrested for possession of weapons without a permit.
The two arrested were sent to the Prosecution of the First Instance of Thessaloniki and a trial was scheduled for the specific charge. At the same time, the file of the case, which was raised outside the limits of self-direction against the 59-year-old and is related to the fatal wounding of the 51-year-old, has been submitted to the competent judicial body and a report is expected.
