Shocking details are learned from Albanian girls who were bought by an Albanian in Switzerland.

An Albanian man and his four sons will be tried from Monday because they are suspected of having smuggled some girls from the Albanian lands to Switzerland. They have been kept in isolation as slaves for years and have been forced to even wash the feet of their patriarchal and violent husbands. The indictment against this family clan reads like a horror movie.

The verdict is expected to be announced on November 24. Adem J. (name changed) and his four sons to be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. The trial against them begins this Monday in Moutier, in the canton of Jura, not far from Bern, the capital of Switzerland.

The indictment against this family clan reads like a horror movie and could bear this title: "Beating, rape, psychological terror, isolation: four Albanian women in one family in Switzerland".

The "Tages Anzeiger" newspaper has reconstructed the case based on the indictment. It is an example of patriarchal violence and the toxic terror of men.

For example the case of Light (name changed). In 2007, after a journey of several days, she arrived in Switzerland - illegally. Adem J., a 50-year-old man, had promised Drita's parents in Albania that their daughter could live better in Switzerland if she married his son. Drita was only 15 years old when she came to Switzerland. She didn't want to come here, but her poor parents agreed.

15 years later in Switzerland, the judicial process will begin against Adem J., who brought Drita to Switzerland. Adem J. is now 65 years old, he has Serbian citizenship and belongs to the Albanian minority in southern Serbia. Also accused are his 4 sons aged 26 to 38. They are accused of: human trafficking, causing bodily harm, forced marriage, rape, sexual acts with children. The boys' father is also accused of misuse of social benefits. These five men are suspected of having committed the aforementioned crimes in the period between 2003 and 2019. In this period, in addition to Drita, they also brought three other girls from Albania and southern Serbia to Switzerland. They were brought here with false promises of a better life.

E pështyn në fytyrë, e kërcënon se do ta vrasë, se do t’ia shkatërrojë jetën, se do të gëzohej nëse ajo vdes. E quan lavire. E dhunon.

However, Drita also decided to run away from home with her children. Then the third and fourth women also left. Currently, according to the victims' lawyer, they live under the protection of the authorities. For the accused, the presumption of innocence applies until the all-powerful decision of justice.

The newspaper "Tages Anzeiger" asks at the end of the article how it was possible for these five men to maintain this system of terror against four women? Why has no one noticed this horror for years? Did close family members know anything? Perhaps the judicial process will provide answers to some of these questions.
