On January 10, 2013, Gjergj Laçi, also known as Xerxh Laçi, was going to be arrested by the Tirana police after he was shooting with a Kalashnikov weapon and hundreds of ammunition found in his apartment in the neighborhood known as the "concrete knot".

For several minutes, he terrorized the residents and neighbors while refusing to surrender until the police intervened. At that time, his family members came out of the apartment and told the police that they had been in Pazar, unlike the event of November 6, 2022, where he kept them isolated for almost 6 years.

According to the decision provided by "Shxiptarja", Laçi was able to punish the crime committed with only 20 months in prison, even though the criminal offense provided for an average sentence of 5 years. This is how Laçi expressed himself in that session: "He accepted the facts presented by the prosecutor and expresses deep regret for the actions he took". 

That was enough for him to get his freedom by paying off the sentence almost with the time of detention and returning to his family and community according to justice, rehabilitated. This decision was also upheld by the appeal of the Tirana court even though the prosecution objected to the low sentence.

Without calculating the consequences of the already low sentence, the judge who was dismissed from the vetting, Altin Abdiu, returned to the community a person whose repentance was simply an excuse. Neighbors and residents faced Laçi again, this time on the morning of November 6, when the police landed in their neighborhood and with the anti-terrorist handcuffed the 52-year-old who had locked up the family with the argument of keeping him away from evil!
