Journalist Basir Çollaku says that the case of the agent who helped Ervis Martinaj to leave is not the first time that the police collaborate with crime.
In an interview for Euronews Albania, the journalist said that Ervis Martinaj had 16,000 employees when betting was official and paid tens of millions of euros to the state budget.
According to him, the prime minister was aware of many of the developments that took place, even the main reason why the police director was dismissed was the disappearance of Martinaj.
"And there are quite a few defendants in the prime minister's court who are interested in the betting business. It is no coincidence that with the disappearance of Martinaj, interest in the betting business has returned. The Prime Minister knows, the main reason for the dismissal of Nano was the disappearance of Martinaj" , said the journalist.
August 9 is the day when the family members of Ervis Martinaj lost contact with their relative. Since 20:00 of that day, they have not contacted Martinaj even through third parties.
A day later, the family members reported the disappearance to the Kurbin police station and are afraid that something bad may have happened to him, which raises suspicions that he may have been killed. Kurbin's prosecutor's office registered the case only for the charge of kidnapping.
After the denunciation and after receiving the report from the prosecution, there are two official tracks where the investigation is being followed. The first is that of staging the disappearance and the second, kidnapping without consequences.
