Online sports betting, 2 in handcuffs and 4 under investigation in Tirana

Two people have been arrested and 4 others have been put under investigation in Tirana, after placing online sports bets.

The police have carried out checks in several subjects and in the mobile phones of the persons arrested and put under investigation, pages and links were found that served for placing sports bets.            

"Specialists of the Sector for the Investigation of Cyber ​​Crimes, following the work to identify and attack illegal activities in the field of gambling, after a genuine investigative work, have finalized the coded police operation "Vacuum". 

As part of this operation, citizens ER, 31 years old, and RM, 40 years old, both residents of Tirana, were arrested. Also, the free trial for citizens Gj. D., 60 years old, AA, 40 years old, AE, 47 years old, R. Ç., 23 years old, all residents of Tirana", informs the police.

During the operation, 5 cell phones used for this illegal activity were seized as material evidence.     

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
