A few days ago, the Special Court decided the "prison arrest" measures for Safet Gjicin and Alma Kaçi under house arrest.

The former mayor said at the hearing that he had not broken the law. "I was punished for the action I did, I received the punishment for the mistake I made. There is no dog project, we have not seen any project, I have not broken the law. I fell into the trap of those who don't love me, I didn't commit a legal violation", said Safet Gjici.

Investigations into Safet Gjicin and Alma Kacin started a few days ago after the publication on social networks of a video with erotic content, where the former mayor had intimate relations with the 40-year-old.

Based on the content of this video recorded by a camera located in a coffee thermos of Alma Kaç, SPAK estimated that the former mayor has committed the criminal offense of "passive corruption of local elected officials" while the 40-year-old "active corruption of local elected officials".

It is known that the Special Prosecutor's Office is conducting investigative actions if there are other people who collaborated with Alma Kaçi to make the video with the aim of blackmailing the former mayor.

The latter has appealed the measure of arrest in prison in the Court of Appeal with the argument that he did not commit any violation of the law. According to Safet Gjic, the tender mentioned in the video was never announced by the municipality of Kukës.

Meanwhile, Kaçi, in his testimony before the Special Court, said that "he did not cooperate with any person to make the video". SPAK is conducting investigative actions to see if there are other people who helped Alma Kaçi to make the video with the aim of blackmailing the former mayor.

The investigators are expected to interrogate the 40-year-old again, who is suspected of not being honest about the incident.
