Family members, friends, relatives and residents of Tirana said their last farewell to little Jonada Avdia today.

The 7-year-old girl was escorted to the last apartment amid deep pain and tears.

Jonada was killed at noon yesterday on the beach of Potam in Himara, after being hit by the boat that was driven by commissioner Arjan Tase, acting as the head of community policing in Elbasan.

After the tragedy, Tase was arrested and dismissed from the ranks of the State Police. The event has evoked many reactions, as a protest was called in front of the Ministry of Interior the next afternoon.
