A 16-year-old girl injured herself this afternoon with a firearm in the "Liri Gero" neighborhood in Fier.

The child was immediately transported to the city hospital where he is under the care of doctors.

The police went to the scene, while the reasons that led the 16-year-old to this act are still unknown.

"Around 5:30 p.m., citizen AG, about 18 years old, resident of Fier, was transported to the hospital for medical assistance, injured by a gunshot, out of danger to her life (preliminarily it is suspected that she wounded herself with a pistol). The Police Services have found and seized the firearm", the police announced.

The investigative team is at the scene and is working to fully clarify the circumstances and the cause, as well as the legal documentation of the case.
