Albert Veliu, also known by the nickname "Babalja" has reappeared in a video recording just a short time after the sentence of Ervin Salianji to one year in prison for fabricating a videotap where it was claimed that Geron (Agron) Xhafaj, the brother of the former - Minister Fatmir Xhafaj.
He was consciously recorded by a citizen as he accuses Fredi Alizoti, claiming that he was the one who took Salianj to prison.
"It was Fred's game, not mine. Salianji has nothing to do with this part, and secondly, Agron Xhafaj owes me 300 thousand euros, he scored the goal for me in Italy. Salianji has fallen on his neck, he has nothing to do with this matter, the whole game was made by Fredi Alizoti", says Albert Veliu in the video, claiming that Alizoti was paid to testify against him.
We recall that Fredi Alizot's testimony was the one that overturned the wiretapping issue, since before the prosecutor of Kirmeve i Rënda, he declared that the audio wiretapping of Geron Xhafaj was fabricated between him and Albert Veliu.
Furthermore, Albert Veliu claims that he has the original "USB" of the interception, and says that he has no plans to hand it over, as it is "security for his life".
"The truth is that they owe me 300,000 euros, his 12-kilo brother scored the goal for me in Italy. That's all I'm talking about, I don't talk more", says "Babalja" further.
According to the testimony of Fredi Alizot in court, in 2018, Albert Veliu (Babalja) promised him that he would receive 200 thousand euros from the democratic deputy Ervin Salianji, to fabricate the voice of Fatmir Xhafajt's brother in the videotaping that was subsequently denounced at the PD headquarters -'s.
The Democrats have accused Fredi Alizoti saying that he was paid or threatened to testify against them.
