Pellumb Meta, the 50-year-old who was killed and buried by his children was sent this Saturday to his last residence

The arrest of Pëllumb Meta's 3 children seems to have not yet settled the "accounts" between the family members of the deceased and his wife.

It is known that the Durrës police have taken the wife of Pëllumb Meta, who was killed by the 24-year-old son Hysen Meta, into protection.

Blerina Meta was not allowed to participate in her husband's funeral ceremony, as the police feared a possible conflict between Pellumbi's brothers and their sister-in-law.

While the 49-year-old woman is being investigated at large for the incident, the Durrës police escorted her to her father's family in Laç.

Only the eldest daughter of the family, married in Krujë, took part in the funeral ceremony, while her 2 brothers and sister are behind bars, accused of the planned murder of their father.

The testimony of the son who killed his father

The 24-year-old Hysen Meta, arrested the day before for the murder of his father in the village of Shënavlash in Durrës, has told the investigators all the dynamics of the event. He says that everything was planned with his sister, 19-year-old Hygerta, and that his mother and younger brother were not aware.

"We planned the murder earlier together with my sister. We decided on Saturday, February 10 because we were all on vacation. Dad was lying in one of the rooms of the house. It was just me, my sister and my other brother at home. Mom was doing chores outside the home. Earlier we had provided all the materials we needed to wrap the body. I shot dad 4 times in the body. The sister was also there, while the younger brother entered the room only after hearing the shots."

Then he confessed all the movements to hide the crime, while the body was buried near the cow shed. They threw the gun in a canal near the house, where it was later found by the police.

"We were not affected by the situation and the three of us acted to wrap it up and bury it. Two days later, I drove my father's car towards the pine trees in the Rinia sector. My brother picked me up on the way back. We wanted his disappearance to be believed. Then, on February 13, I decided to report my father's disappearance."

The motives of the crime are still unclear

The motives of the serious crime remain unclear for the investigators who are investigating the behavior of the family members, but Hysen Meta gives the cause as the behavior of his father.

"He was authoritarian and impatient in the family. We had no other way. Mom was not aware of the incident."

Investigators suspected that they were not dealing with a disappearance, as cell phone records showed that his cell phone was in the apartment and during the days of his disappearance, none of the children had called him, even though he had been reported missing.

Initially, his daughter Hygerta was arrested for the murder of the 50-year-old, but investigations revealed that almost the entire family was involved. The three young men are being held in the cell while the mother is being investigated at large.

The latter has already been taken under protection by the police and has been sent to her family in Laç to avoid conflicts with the victim's family members.
