The death of Laer Kurti, Rrumbullaku: The police officers have been suspended

The General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, has stated that the patrol police officers who detained Laer Kurti are suspended from duty until the end of the investigation.

Rrumbullaku did not prefer to make comments and provide other information about the event, stating that the police, being a party to this event, cannot give any statement.

"The police, being a party, in relation to the problem, have not given any kind of statement. Please, my answer is simple and clear. It is an unfortunate case. Please, we don't have an indicted policeman. If it comes to the case, there will be a forensic examination. I am the director general and cannot be part of the investigation. The police officers are suspended", said the head of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, in a televised statement.
