The Appeals Prosecution has announced the claim against doctors Petrit Rexhepi and Elona Burba, accused in the case of the death of Doriana Haka, the wife of Partizan goalkeeper Alban Hoxha, who lost her life in November 2014, two weeks after giving birth to her first child.

For gynecologist Petrit Rexhepi, the Prosecution requested 9 months in prison, but due to his age over 70, requested that the sentence be suspended and placed on probation for 18 months.

During this period, he must remain in contact with the probation service and not commit any criminal offense. The Prosecution also requested that Rexhepi's license be suspended for 5 years.

Meanwhile, for resuscitator Elona Burba, 1 year in prison and a 5-year license suspension were requested.

On November 10, when the next hearing will take place, the doctors are expected to present their defense arguments.

After more than a decade of waiting and struggling at the doors of justice, Doriana Haka's family hopes to finally reach a final decision on the tragic event that took the life of their relative.
