A serious incident occurred yesterday in the village of Mërtish in Lushnje, where a 32-year-old electrician lost his life after coming into contact with electricity.

In connection with this incident, the police have made it possible to arrest two people, specifically Xh. H., 60 years old , resident of Gradishte, and AP, 57 years old , resident of Babunje.

According to what the blue uniforms say, these two people, respectively electricians from OST and OSHEE , are suspected of violating occupational safety rules by not disconnecting the electricity to the line that the 32-year-old was repairing.

"Following the investigative and operational actions, in relation to yesterday's event, in the village of Mërtish, where citizen Xh. Sh., 32 years old, an electrician from OSHEE, lost his life, suspected of coming into contact with electricity, while working to repair an electrical line, the services of the Divjakë Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto citizens Xh. H., 60 years old, resident of Gradishte and AP, 57 years old, resident of Babunje. These citizens, respectively electricians from OST and OSHEE, are suspected of having violated the rules of protection at work, by not disconnecting the electricity to the line that the 32-year-old was repairing", the Police announced.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, for further action.
