A serious incident happened in Maliq of Korça, where a 16-year-old minor girl was used for prostitution by a person.

For this incident, two people have been arrested, namely tutor Marsel Baçi, 26 years old, and a client, citizen Selam Hyka, 41 years old.

Meanwhile, the mother of the minor has stated in a statement to the media that the girl was threatened not to tell.

According to her, the minor had told her several times that she would kill herself.

"I was told by a woman in the village who fled on a motorbike. She did not tell me that he told her not to tell. He threatened him. The girl told me that I'm going to drown, I told her what did you do to drown. He lied to her, I took her to school, he took her on a motorbike. I saw him coming up here and I told him not to come again. He told me that he always teased me. They came from Podgoria by motorbike. I have no one else, I live only with my mother. The girl is in Tirana, she will continue her schooling there. They would take him to the doctor," the woman told reporters.

Police notification:

Suspected of exploiting a 16-year-old girl for prostitution, the 26-year-old man is put in handcuffs.   

A citizen who is suspected of violently having sexual relations with the minor citizen is also put in handcuffs.

The specialists of the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic, as a result of the investigative actions carried out by the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Korçë, for a case of exploitation of a minor citizen, for prostitution, arrested the following citizens:

SH, 41 years old, resident of the village of Leminot, Maliq, for the criminal offense "Sexual or homosexual relationship with violence with minors aged 14-18". During the actions carried out in the presence of the psychologist, the parent and the legal defender, the 16-year-old girl reported that in June 2024, this citizen had violent sexual relations with her and gave her money;

MB, 26 years old, resident in the village of Podgorie, Maliq, for the criminal offense "Exploitation of prostitution", as from the investigative actions carried out for this case, it is suspected that he used the 16-year-old for prostitution.

In the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the investigations continue for the complete documentation of this case and for the identification of the other citizens involved.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Korçë General Jurisdiction, for further actions.
