"We parted coldly and silently" - Kujtim Cakrani talks about the

Lawyer Kujtim Cakrani, in a live interview for the news edition on Top Channel, stated that Ilir Meta has hired another lawyer today to defend him.

Speaking to journalist Anila Hoxha, he said that after the last session they parted coldly and silently and that they have had no further communication, while adding that he himself had considered leaving Meta's defense.

He adds that he is haunted by the fact that in this period of time that he has been defending him, he has done an extraordinary job, as he says, and that the new colleague who will take over the former president's defense will find the path paved.

"That session we parted very coldly and we had no further communication. I don't want to talk more, I am more than crystal clear in my relationship with him. It was a silent parting. Meta today decided to hire another lawyer, I had thought about this too, they were in agreement with Mr. Meta.

"I don't know who the new lawyer will be. Whoever it is, he has laid the foundation because you know that I have done an extraordinary job and for that I am still holding on. I raised the shattered image of the former president considering what happened and that is what is still holding me back a little bit," he said.

Meanwhile, journalist Hoxha learns from unconfirmed sources that Meta has chosen to be defended by a former judge dismissed by Vetting.

So far, Ilir Meta has replaced two lawyers, Genc Gjokutaj and Kujtim Cakranin.
