The person you see in the photo above is 46-year-old Alma Beqiri, who was arrested by the Korca police as part of the "Postmail" operation.

She exercised the function of the postal services agent of the private post office "Adex" in Korça and Pogradec and it is suspected that during the period 2021-2023 she embezzled an amount of 3 million euros.

The 46-year-old woman, according to the blue uniforms, delivered various postal packages, on behalf of third parties, and the monetary sums she collected from customers, she did not pour into the account of the selling commercial entities, nor to the company that performed this service.

Alma Beqiri is known to have invested the considerable amount in the purchase of real estate and commercial businesses, on behalf of herself and her family members.

She was placed in handcuffs after a 2-month investigation and 2 vehicles used by the 46-year-old woman were seized as material evidence.

The police announce that the work continues to identify and bring to the fore the legal responsibility of other citizens, suspected to be involved in this fraud scheme.
