Marjola Myrtollari, who was injured by her husband about a month ago, died in the Trauma hospital in Tirana.

The serious incident happened on June 4 of this year in Korça, where 46-year-old Aleko Myrtollari stabbed his wife, 38-year-old Marjola Myrtollari.

Initially, the couple's children were also in the apartment, but the perpetrator took them out and then stabbed his wife several times. Aleko Myrtollari is also reported to have consumed alcohol and was often drunk. He worked abroad for a few months, while his wife was unemployed.

After committing the crime, during interrogation by the police, the perpetrator of the crime, Aleko Myrtollari, stated that the conflict with his wife Marjola happened because the latter did not want to work.

According to Aleko Myrtollari's testimony, he asked his wife to look for a job, while she, according to him, refused to work, demanding that only her husband work to support the children and the family. Referring to the testimony of the 46-year-old, this was the reason that the conflict degraded and ended in the serious wounding of his 38-year-old wife, which resulted in her death.
