Journalist Adriatik Doçi reacted after the Police arrested the author of the attack on him, 32-year-old Redon Skutera from Tirana. In the police report, it was said that Skutera punched Doci several times because of his duty, causing him physical injuries.

In a post on social networks, Doçi thanks the Police and those who have supported him. He further adds that, as he had warned, the attack on him was paid for by organized crime nodes due to duty, to create fear and limit reporting.

Doçi says that there is not and will not be any step back to share with the public the truths of public interest.

Full reaction:

First, I want to express the maximum appreciation for the State Police, for the professional, courageous work, without stopping, even until after midnight, of police station no. 5, whose leaders discovered in record time the author of the physical attack on me, together with his supporters.

This is a great relief for me, my family and friends.
I also appreciate the special interest of Minister Blendi Çuçi in clarifying the event.
I appreciate the maximum support and solidarity of the leaders of Report Tv.
This is also a message from the state to all other journalist colleagues, who may be attacked by segments of organized crime tomorrow.

As I stated on the first day, the attack was paid for by organized crime syndicates out of duty to create fear and limit reporting.

Investigations will reveal more. There is and will be no step back to share with the public the truths of public interest.
