In neighborhood no. 1 in Durrës, near the hotel of the former mayor of Durrës, Vangjush Dakos (out of office), a suspected amount of explosives was found in a flower vase.

Durrës Police announce that the case is suspected to be handmade and investigations are continuing to clarify the circumstances.

RENEA's Anti-Explosive Unit is cooperating with the investigative group to analyze the case and identify the perpetrators.

The area is under surveillance to ensure the safety of residents and citizens. Investigations are still ongoing.

Durrës police announcement:

In neighborhood no. 1, Durrës, at the entrance to a building (former hotel, out of operation), a suspected amount of explosive material, suspected to be homemade, was found in one of the flower pots.

The investigation team, in cooperation with the RENEA Anti-Explosive Unit, is carrying out actions to clarify the circumstances, determine the type of substance found, and identify and apprehend the perpetrator(s).
